Wilbur E. Hoffert
Wilbur E. Hoffert, 95, of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at the Blough Nursing Home in Bethlehem. Husband of Irene R. (Gower) Hoffert they were married 71 years.
Wilbur was born in Bethlehem on December 2, 1920, son of the late Raymond and Florence (Siegfried) Hoffert.
During World War II, Wilbur served our country with the US Army Air Corp at Buckley Air Base in Denver, Colorado and Boeing Air Craft in Seattle, Washington.
He was a Dental Technician for Sandler Dental Lab in Allentown retiring after 38 years.
Wilbur was a life long and the oldest member of Salem Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. He served as an Usher, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Men’s Dart League for many years.
He was an avid trout fisherman and charter member of the Bethlehem F-3 Fishing Club.
Survivors: In addition to his wife Irene; Daughter Judy Demboski and her husband Mark of Palm City, FL; Son Dale and his companion, Colleen Coombs of Great Mills, MD; 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Kathleen Hoffert of Bethlehem, 6 nephews, a niece and a daughter in law Elaine Hoffert. Predeceased by a sister Shirley Hoffert, two brothers Raymond R. Hoffert and Walter Hoffert.
