Doris B. Purdy passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on April 19th, 2024.

Born on August 20, 1934 in Springtown, NJ  she was one of six children born to Clarence W. Pursell & Caroline Kaucher Pursell.

Doris graduated from Phillipsburg High School class of 1952. She was a proud Stateliner, having formed long lasting friendships with her classmates and still attended all her High School reunions. She graduated from Empire beauty school & went on to have a salon of her own practicing her craft for well over 45 years.

Doris had a passion for gardening and spending time with her many close friends.

She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years Jordan H. Purdy & her son Kenneth Case, her brothers Clarence, Richard, Barry & sister Anna.

She is survived by her loving sister Joyce Schauer, sister in-law Patricia Pursell Clark which she shared a special bond & best friend of 68 years, Joanne Agnew. Also many nieces, nephews & former husband Kenneth C. Case. Her daughters, Kathy Ghia McCusker of Bath, Pa; Krissy Vegh & husband Zsolt of Gilbert, AZ; step son, Jordan H. Purdy & wife Roxanne of Easton, PA.

She enjoyed being of service to others, volunteering her time to Warren Hospital, Ladies Auxiliary of Lopatcong Township Emergency Squad & Lopatcong Care Center.

Doris’s greatest joy was her grandchildren & great grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly. Jennifer, Kari, Monisha, Samir, Sunita, Connor, Ian, Andre, Aidan, Jordan, Justin, Joey, Alexa, Joshua & Noah.

Arrangements are made my Herron Funeral home. Celebration of life will be private.
