Larry F. Woods
Larry F. Woods, 78, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. He was the cherished husband of Patricia L. (Crossan) Woods, with whom he shared nearly 41 years of marriage.
Born in Easton on November 25, 1945, Larry was the son of the late John B. and Helen F. (Korp) Woods. He attended Phillipsburg Catholic High School and Avon Old Farms School in Avon, CT.
Larry proudly served in the U.S. Naval Reserves, an experience that shaped his character and commitment to his country. After his service, he attended Moravian College.
Larry dedicated many years to his career as a project manager at AT&T before retiring to follow his passion for cooking. In 2009, Larry earned a Culinary Arts degree from Northampton Area Community College. He went on to oversee food preparation at St. Francis Friary, established his own catering business, Woods Culinary Services, and showcased both his project management and culinary talents during the launch of Moscato’s restaurant in Bethlehem.
Larry will always be remembered for his dedication to family and friends, his Irish wit and for the many delicious meals he generously prepared and served to all who gathered at his table.
Survivors: Wife Pat, daughter Kelsey Woods Sayler, wife of Eric Sayler of Bethlehem, Twp; grandchildren, Finley Sayler and Callen Sayler; sisters Karen Woods, wife of John Harry of Allentown and Susan Woods Golder, wife of Charles Golder of Dover, NH; brother-in-law Charles Crossan, husband of Donna Crossan of Flanders, NJ; special nieces and nephews Courtney, Ashley, Adam, Kimberly, Lori, Kara, Eddie and Daniel. Larry was predeceased by his infant daughter, Lindsay F. Woods, and niece, Lauren.
Visitation & Memorial Service: Thursday September 26, 2024, Visitation 10AM to 11AM followed by the Memorial Service at 11AM at Herron Funeral Home, 458 Center St. in Bethlehem, PA 18018. www.Herronfuneralhomes.com
The burial will be held privately at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.
