John Jefferey Joseph “JJ” Wagner
John Jeffery Joseph “JJ” Wagner, 80 of Northampton passed away on April 25, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Angela A. (Miller) Wagner, they were married 59 years on February 12th.
John was born in Bronx, New York son of the late Kenneth R. and Loretta (McCrodden) Wagner, Sr.
He served two overseas tours during the Vietnam War in the US Army. He was a career military man serving as a Unit Supply Specialist retiring after 20 years. John was a decorated Army Veteran, awarded: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal with a V Device, Army Commendation Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal, 2 Overseas Bars, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Expert Rifle-M16A1, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Medal with a Numeral 2, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with a Numeral 2, Combat Infantry Badge.
He was a life member of the VFW Post 7293 in Egypt.
Survivors: Wife Angela, daughters Lucinda M. Smith, Jennifer Jean Lacroix wife of Floyd and Melissa A. Young wife of Al, four grandchildren Ryan Grube, Julia Senick, Laci V. Smith and Daphne Senick; brothers Kenneth R. Wagner, Jr., Jerome E. Wagner husband of Valerie, Robert A. Wagner, Sr. husband of Elizabeth, Donald Wagner husband of Sally and Michael Wagner husband of Mary. Also survived by his beloved Shitsuz dog Tinkerbell and grand pup Xoey Rose. Predeceased by a granddaughter Brooke Grube, son in law Ricky Smith, brother Keith Wagner, grand puppies Snyper and Ruby Rose.
