Carmen Lopez, 75 of Allentown passed away on May 31, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.

She was the companion of Israel Plaza for over 30 years  and the wife of the late Pedro Lopez.

Carmen was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on November 21, 1949 son of the late Carmelo Diaz and Cecelia Arroyo.

She was a case worker for the City of New York for many years until she retired.

Survivors: Daughters Maribel Lopez and Lizette Lopez (Robert Ciraolo), son Nelson Lopez (Christi), nephew whom Carmen raised Nathan Aponte; sister Esperanza Poupart, brothers Jose Juan Rodriguez  and Juan Isidoro Aponte; seven grandchildren Calvin, Quiana, Chassidy, Bianca, Gabriella, Jeremiah and Noah; 3 great-Grandchildren Sophia, Diem and Ezekiel.

Viewing & Service:  Thursday June 5, 2025 viewing 10AM to 11AM followed by the funeral service at 11AM all at the Herron Funeral Home 458 Center At Market Street Bethlehem, PA  18018.

Burial to follow in St. Mark’s Cemetery in Allentown.
