Damian A. Gasdaska
Damian A. Gasdaska, 47 of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on January 8, 2024 at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Bethlehem, he was the beloved husband of Melissa (née Piezal) Gasdaska.
He was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, Bethlehem, which was formerly Ss. Cyril and Methodius, where he served as an altar boy throughout his childhood. He also was a communicant at Ss. Phillip and James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg, NJ.
He graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School and then went onto DeSales University where he graduated with degrees in marketing and political science.
He was gregarious and charismatic, traits that endeared him to others throughout his life and during his rewarding career helping clients achieve the American dream of homeownership as a partner at Roman Mortgage and a real estate agent at Romano Realty both of Brooklyn, NY.
He was a lifelong member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols, Bethlehem. He was also a member of the Portuguese American Club, Bethlehem, the Brooklyn Real Estate Board, Brooklyn, NJ and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Warren Council #474.
He is survived by his wife Melissa, devoted children Annalis and John W., IV, godson Anthony Damian Marcario-Chaikalis, his faithful Golden Retriever Kennedy and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Helen Gasdaska, Jr. whom he deeply cherished.
Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday January 13, 2024 at 12 noon at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish with Monsignor Robert Kozel Officiating. Visitation from 10:30AM to 11:45 AM at the Church.
