Danis M. Cruz, mother, beloved wife, and a great woman. Strong and elegant, a woman who stood her ground to fight for what was right, spoke against injustices and would not accept any less than your absolute best effort. Loving, caring, and giving everything she could to whomever needed it, she was the kind of woman who led by example. The same woman who would form a community wherever she settled, and who shed love to whomever she touched. She accepted the seasons of change gracefully, but suffered the absence of her children, showing how tender and great her heart was. Embracing her Dominican heritage and culture she passed on her legacy and knowledge onto her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
