Dorothy Jane Trala, 85, of Bethlehem PA passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2024. She was preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart and beloved husband of 61 years, Richard Donald Trala, Sr. who died in January of 2022. Dorothy was born in Lansdale, PA on April 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Carrie (Nase) Steeley and the sister of the late Richard P Steeley all of Lansdale , PA.

Dorothy retired from Keystone Savings Association in 2006 after 29 years of dedicated service to the people of Bethlehem and making wonderful friends along the way!

Dorothy was very involved in her kids’ lives growing up volunteering with the Scouts, Lehigh Little League, and many years involved with the Grenadier band. She spent her free time reading, enjoying crossword and word search puzzles as well as watching college basketball, the Philadelphia Eagles and her favorite 76ers player, Tyrese Maxey. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family and vacationing in Ocean City, NJ for her entire adult life.

She will be lovingly missed by her daughter Patty Nichols and husband Doug of Milton, DE; her grandchildren whom she adored and was so proud of: Zachary Nichols (Fiancée Emma) Emily Wiegner (Matthew), Ashley (Fiancé Vincent) and Samantha Nichols (partner Jules), and her precious new great granddaughter Maxine Claire Nichols and her great grandson (Wiegner) expected in October of this year, along with her son Richard Trala Jr. and wife Heidi of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Hannah Avila (Jacob), Rachel (fiancé Drew), Nicholas and Noah Trala and her beautiful great granddaughter Berkleigh Avila as well as many beautiful friends and “extra” daughters whom she cherished always.
