Elaine I Howells, 92 of Allentown passed away on June 20, 2025 at Jewel Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Allentown. She was the wife of the late David A. Howells, Sr. who passed in 1998.

Elaine was born in Allentown on June 11, 1933, daughter of the late Wilmer and Mae (Laubach) Dech.

In addition to being a seamstress, she was most known for being a dedicated wife and mother to four, as well as a grandmother and great-grandmother to many. Her life is marked by her faith and involvement in her church community. She was a multifaceted woman. Her family remembers her as being jovial and funny, and they carry many happy memories filled with laughter. She was a strong yet humble woman of prayer, who served as a bastion of faithfulness for all who loved her. She was also an avid reader, who loved to entertain, played board and card games, and had a talent for décor.

Survivors: Daughter Sharon E. Engleman of Fountain Hill, sons David A. Howells, Jr. husband of Patricia of Allentown, Wilmer I. Howells husband of Mayra of Mertztown and Keith A. Howells of Whitehall; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.  Predeceased by a grandson David Engleman.
