Evelyn A. Hamilton
Evelyn A. Hamilton, 93 of Bethlehem, died on July 31, 2018 of heart failure at Country Meadows III. She was the wife of the late Arthur S. Hamilton, an FBI Agent, and previously the wife of the late William George Korb, Jr.
Evelyn was born in Baltimore, MD on July 29, 1925. She was of Lithuanian descent and had lived in Baltimore, Pasadena and Towson, MD and also Selbyville, DE.
She was the first female Vice President of Maryland Bank.
She spent time travelling to Bermuda and Hawaii and was a passenger on the Queen Elizabeth II.
Evelyn stayed busy as a member of the Bethlehem Garden Club and Treasurer for Kidspeace functions. She read for the blind at NHCC, volunteered at Gracedale & St. Luke’s Hospital and was a member of St. Andrew’s Society. In addition, Evelyn was a member of the Autumn Club in Bethlehem Township and also a Senior Group member at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Survivors: Granddaughter Laura Mercado and her husband Luis; great-grandson Daniel J. Mercado and son-in-law Jabez M. Hook. She was predeceased by her daughter Carol Lynn (Korb) Hook who died in 2014.
Service: Private at the convenience of the family.
