Fae A. Guerin
Fae A. Guerin, 75 of Bethlehem passed away at home on December 28, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Kenneth J. Guerin, they were married 53 years on August 22nd.
Fae was born in York County, PA on August 25, 1948 daughter of the late Leon E. and Miriam N. (Lease) Matthew, Sr.
Fae received her BA in Sociology from Millersville University and later her Masters in Counseling also from Millersville.
She retired from Warren County Community College in Washington, NJ as the Director of Student Success. Previously she held positions in high school counseling, at York Guidance Center, and Internet Marketing.
She was a member of the PTO and the Dallastown School Board in York County while her children were growing up. After retirement she became a Master Gardner who favored native plants. Fae volunteered in the garden at Burnside Plantation, was a member of the Bethlehem Women’s Club and enjoyed her monthly book club.
Fae enjoyed travel with her family and especially liked her two trips to Paris since she took French classes in both high school and college. She also enjoyed being at the Ocean City shore in the summer with her entire family under one roof. There were also the many road trips with Ken where they visited almost all of the states as well as several parts of Canada and Mexico.
Fae was a loving wife, mother, adoring grandmother who could not do enough for her grandchildren.
Survivors: Husband Kenneth J. Guerin, son Benjamin M. Guerin husband of Elizabeth P. (Janos) Guerin, daughter Emily M. Guerin partner of Mark A. Setal; four grandchildren Wiley I. Setal, Talia J. Setal, Collin J. Guerin and Marguerite F. Guerin; brothers Leon E. Matthew, Jr. husband of Gloria M. (Hess) Matthew, Jacque R Matthew, and Lamar A. Matthew husband of Harry S. Scott, III; sister Jeannette V. Warner wife of Donald R. Warner. Predeceased by a brother John E. Matthew.
Memorial Service: Saturday January 27, 2024, visitation 9:30AM to 10:30 AM followed by the memorial service at 10:30 AM at the Herron Funeral Home 458 Center Street Bethlehem, PA 18018. www.Herronfuneralhomes.com
