James Douvanis , 95 of Bethlehem died on August 5, 2018. Husband of the late Sophie (Moralis) Douvanis, who died on March 21, 2012.

Jim was born in Newark, NJ on February 5, 1923, son of the late Costas and Amelia (Delgrosso) Douvanis.

He served in the US Navy during World War II.

Jim was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Bethlehem and member of the Senior Citizens of the Church. He was a member of the Goodfellows Club and was a Past President of the Order of AHEPA Home Chapter #65 in Bethlehem.

Survivors: His daughter Diane Bayer wife of Andrew of Bethlehem, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Costas “Gus” Douvanis in May of 2009, brothers Daniel and Socrates, sisters Helen Churilla and Mary Bonamo.

Service: Graveside Service on Wednesday August 8, 2018 at 11AM at Fountain Hill Cemetery 1121 Graham Street Bethlehem, PA 18015.   Funeral arrangements are by the John F. Herron Funeral Home in Bethlehem.
