James Warren Frank
James Warren Frank passed away at the age of 85. The son of William and Mary Frank of Glendon, Easton, Jim graduated from Wilson Area High School and went on to earn a degree in business from Moravian University. He married Jane Hinz, and they had four children.
After graduation, Jim worked for the Hartford Insurance Company and later became a partner in an insurance agency.
Jim loved sports and seemed to play them all: football, basketball, baseball, softball, and golf. He enjoyed coaching his sons in baseball and football. When he coached the Bethlehem Steelers football team, he was undefeated as a head coach in regular season play. Jim loved the Eagles, Penn State, the Phillies, the Sixers, and the Wilson Warriors. If they were playing, he was cheering them on. He often sang his favorite fight song, “Hail to the Warriors!”
Jim volunteered for many years at the McDonald’s Lehigh Valley All-Star Football Classic and was honored in their Hall of Fame as well as the Wilson Warrior Hall of Fame. He also volunteered for the Moravian Church, most notably as the President of the Bethlehem Area Moravians. He served on the board of Moravian Village, advocating for a Memory Care Unit, where he spent his final years.
He is predeceased by his wife Jane as well as his brothers Frederick, Richard, and Robert, and his sister Barbara. He is survived by his children: Jami Miksiewicz (Larry), Jodi Guro, James (Deborah), and Jud (Kathy) and his brothers William and Gary and his sister Florence Serfass. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Tory, Emily, Colin, Jessica, Meridith, Casey, and Cole and his great grandchildren Claire, Elliot, Joshua, Jonah, and Remi.
The calling will be held on March 4, 2025 from 6pm-8pm at The Herron Funeral Home, 458 Center at Market Streets. The Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Moravian University’s Blue and Grey Fund.
