John A. Clark
John A. Clark, Jr., 96 of Coplay, died on December 31, 2024. He was born on
September 5, 1928 in Bedford, PA., a son of the late John A. Sr. and Goldie M.
(Beegle) Clark.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean in 2016.
He is survived by daughters: Roxane Comyack, of Hillsborough, NJ, Tammy Giraldi
(Nick) of Whitehouse Station, NJ, and a son Kenneth Clark, of Lehighton, PA;
four grandchildren: Rachel Sullivan (Dean) of Salisbury, MD, Nicholas Giraldi
(Celeste) of Manalapan, NJ, Brent Comyack of Tennessee, and Kelsey Comyack
of Titusville, NJ; one great granddaughter, Francesca Giraldi, and one great
grandson, Nicholas Giraldi III; a sister Norma Baker of Everett, PA and many
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers: George,
Edmund, Paul, and James Clark; sisters: Mildred Stanko, Geraldine McGuinn
and his two infant triplet sisters Dorothy Mae and Martha Mae.
John served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Iowa and USS Columbus. Upon his honorable discharge,
he attended Auto Mechanic School and worked as a mechanic for a short time
before starting his career as a long haul truck driver. After retirement, he bought
his own truck, a Western Star hauling tankers with food products across the
United States. His wife, Jean, traveled with him visiting most of the United States.
John enjoyed hunting, picking wild raspberries, gathering walnuts and always
planted a vegetable garden.
He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Whitehall.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions can be made in John’s name to Shepherd of the Hills
Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St. Whitehall, PA 18052.
