Joyce Elaine George, 91 of Bethlehem passed away on January 24, 2025.  She was the wife of  Christ George for 57 years until his passing on October 27, 2011.

Joyce was born in Northampton on February 3, 1933 daughter of the late Woodrow and Helen (Sabo) McFetridge.

Joyce’s pride and joy in life was taking care of and raising her family. She also worked at Western Electric, Fashion Colony, John Wanamaker’s, and as a buyer for Orr’s Department Store.

She enjoyed gourmet cooking, sewing, and celebrating holidays with her family-especially Christmas Eve. Joyce was an accomplished baker, seamstress, poet, and crafted the most beautiful quilts.  She was always happy tending to her herb garden, and feeding the birds and squirrels.

She will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Survivors:  Daughters Elaine M. Tourville wife of Dr. Donald Tourville of Easton, Theria D. Shelly of Whitehall, and Melissa Harth wife of Jamie Harth of Newtown, PA; brother Robert McFetridge husband of Sharon; sister Cindy Marakovits wife of Joseph; four grandchildren Matthew Yarema (Casey), Evan Yarema (Kristen), Kristen Molter (Guillaume) and Dr. Benjamin Shelly; three great grandchildren Zoe Molter, Leo Molter and O’Dea Yarema; two step grandchildren Rachel Harth and James Harth, Jr. (Kayla).  Predeceased by her brothers, Richard McFetridge, and James McFetridge. And beloved dogs Buffy, Muffy and Phoebe.
