Luis A. Martinez, 60, of North Plainfield, NJ passed away on December 27th, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville, NJ. He was the life partner of Shabida Deonarine for over 18 years. Luis was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on March 7, 1963, and was the son of Elizabeth Gonzalez and Israel Martinez. He worked as a toll both operator for New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority for 20+ years before retiring in 2018.

Luis is survived by his life partner Shabida and his sons Eric and Jeremie Martinez, Christopher Colon, and daughters Brianna Martinez, and Shereza and Shemeza Deonarine. As well as his beloved grandchildren Kathrynne Rodriguez, Evelyn Martinez and Averii Grays. Luis also leaves behind his Father Israel Martinez and Mother Elizabeth Gonzalez, stepfather Eduardo Gonzalez, brothers Elfran and Frankie Silva, sisters Jessica and Sandra Martinez, Elizabeth Torres, stepbrothers Joshua and Benjamin Gonzalez, and stepsisters Dorkas and Raquel Gonzalez.
