Margaret A. Dias
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret A. Dias, 95, of Bethlehem, who joined her eternal love, her husband Tony J. Dias, on January 6, 2025. After a long and fulfilling life, Margaret fell asleep with God, surrounded by her children and grandchildren in a room filled with love.
Born on January 23, 1929, in Bethlehem, Margaret was one of 15 children of the late Frank and Mary (Szulics) Phillip. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother, cherished grandmother, and a caring woman who dedicated her life to her family.
Margaret was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bethlehem. A lifelong resident of Bethlehem’s South Side, she and Tony created a warm and loving home filled with treasured memories.
For many years, Margaret worked as a teacher’s aide at St. Francis Academy in Bethlehem PA, where she shared her kindness and care with children. At home, she was a devoted homemaker, always present in her children’s lives. Margaret poured her love into her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Her warmth and vibrant spirit shone through in everything she did, enjoying bingo nights, summer picnics at Saucon Park, and holiday celebrations with her loved ones. She embraced life with joy, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Her loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren find comfort in the memories of her boundless love, unwavering devotion, and the lasting legacy she leaves as the heart and soul of our family. Margaret’s legacy will continue to inspire and guide us all.
Margaret is survived by her loving children: Anthony J. Dias Jr. of Bethlehem, PA; Richard J. Dias of Bethlehem, PA; Thomas R. Dias, husband of Concetta, of Bethlehem Township, PA; Rosemarie Howard, wife of Thomas, of Bethlehem, PA; and Amelia A. Warjas of Hellertown, PA. She is also survived by her eight beloved grandchildren: Jessica Warjas, Thomas Jr. Dias, Jonathan Dias, Megan Pavlish (Mark), Melissa Yando (Chris), Joshua Dias (Barbara), Taylor Dias-Foundas (Chris), and Justin Dias; as well as 12 cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Victor Phillip.
She was reunited in heaven with her grandson, Anthony J. Dias III, and her daughters-in-law, Joanne Dias and Andrea Dias.

Viewing and Funeral Mass: Monday January 13, 2025, viewing 10AM to 11AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11 AM all at St. Joseph’s Church 417 East 5th Street Bethlehem, PA 18015.
