Nicholas M. Zanakos
Nicholas M. Zanakos, 93 of Bethlehem passed away at home on February 6, 2025. He was the husband of Argiro (Petrakis) Zanakos for 69 years until her passing on January 22, 2025.
Nick was born in Bethlehem on September 11, 1931 son of the late Michael and Kyriaki (Bourlakis) Zanakos Andralis.
He graduated from Liberty High School in 1949, in 1953 graduated from Lehigh University and in 1957 he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in Northampton County, was a Public Defender and had a private law practice in Bethlehem for over 50 years.
Nick served in the Us Army during the Korean War.
He was an active member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Bethlehem.
He was a life- long member of the Order of AHEPA, Homer Chapter #65 in Bethlehem.
Survivors: His children James Zanakos and his wife Kenly, Dr. Nicholas M. Zanakos and his wife Gwendolyn and Angeline Zanakos; brother George J. Andralis and his wife Argie; two grandchildren Nicholas James Zanakos and his wife Miranda and Christina Zanakos Feinberg and her husband Jordan; three-great-grandchildren Dimitrios Zanakos, Olivia Feinberg and Sophia Feinberg. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased in death by a brother Michael Zanakos.
Viewing & Service: Monday February 10, 2025, viewing 10AM to 11AM followed by the Funeral Service at 11AM at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral 1607 West Union Blvd. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Following the entombment at the Mausoleum at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown there will be an AHEPA Service conducted by Homer Chapter #65 in Bethlehem.
