Philomae Baldo , 94 of Bethlehem passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 14, 2025.  Philomae was born in Nanticoke, PA on December 10, 1930, daughter of the late John and Sophie (Janacek) Skalla.

Philomae was the wife of Frank Baldo for 58 years until his passing on  July 15, 2016.

In 1955 she graduated from Kings County School of Nursing in New York.  Philomae was a Registered Nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Holy Family Manor for many years until she retired.

Phiolmae is survived by her four children Nicholas (Melissa), Thomas (Barbara), Andrew (Suzanne)  and Susan (Anthony), nine grandchildren Catherine, Liz, Andrew, Grace, Leah, Cassie, Ellie, Chiara (Will) and Anthony; one great-granddaughter Liora,

Philomae was a faithful member of Notre Dame Catholic Church of Bethlehem.

Philomae was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. She was blessed with many dear and loyal friends that kept her active and involved through the years.

Philomae was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her strength, fortitude and perseverance will live on in her children and grandchildren.

Service:  Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday January 21, 2025 at 12noon at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road Bethlehem, PA 18018.  There will be a viewing from 10:45AM to 11:45 AM at the Church.  Burial to follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are by Herron Funeral Home,, Bethlehem.  www.Herronfuneralhomes.com
