Robert E. Toro, Jr.
Robert E. Toro, Jr. 92 of Long Pond, PA, formally of Hackettstown, NJ passed away on February 25, 2025 at Bethlehem North Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Robert was born in the Bronx, NY on July 24, 1932 son of the late Robert and Mercedes (Ortiz) Toro, Sr.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was the Operations Manager for a Food Warehouse and later was a security guard at Mount Airy Casino for 10 years. He was of the Catholic faith, and was a life time member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an active golfer well into his 80s. He loved the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. He was a avid sports memorabilia collector. He loved the Television series Yellowstone.
He was the beloved husband and best friend of Karen, T. (Celentano)Toro, father of Nicholas J. Toro (Lindsay), and their children Giovanni and Christopher, also survived by beloved dog Kylo Ren. Survived by his children from his first marriage Robert R. Toro, Richard R. Toro, Donna Marie McHugh, and Denise Latham; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was survived by brother Arnold “Sonny” Toro; sisters Josephine Mercedes Robledo and Aileen Cinanci (Vincent), also had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his first wife Jesse Toro, twin brother Edgar R. Toro, sisters Mary DuBose, Norma Thompson, and his beloved dogs Sampson, and Lucky.
