Sherry Lynn Crawford
Sherry Lynn Crawford, 75, a long-time resident of Alexandria, PA passed away on July 27, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
Sherry was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 23, 1949, daughter of the late Ralph R. and June K. (Kirby) Crawford.
She graduated from Hampton High School in Allison Park, received her BA in Education and her Masters in Reading from Penn State. She was a beloved life-long teacher and Reading Specialist for the Juniata Valley School District, retiring after many years.
Sherry moved to Bethlehem and resided at Traditions of Hanover in Bethlehem to be closer to her family in the Lehigh Valley.
She traveled the world during her summers, was an avid bridge player, and was a voracious reader. Sherry loved mystery novels and belonged to numerous book clubs and attended Mystery Conventions. Sherry also enjoyed going to the theater, indulged in adult learning classes and local trips for many years, and attended arts and craft shows.
Survivors: Sherry is survived by her sister, Heather Van Ackeren, wife of William and brother, Keith D. Crawford, husband of Mary E. She will be missed by her seven nieces and nephews – Michael, Meghan, Leanne, Christine, Brendan (Lisa), Trevor (Quin), and Taylor (Anthony); and eight great-nieces and nephews – Robbie, Shawn, Jr., Tyler, Michael, Jr., Jordyn, Jace, McKenna, and Kent.
