Shirlene Sarah Kodash of Allentown, PA passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025.

Shirlene was born in Vera Cruz, PA on March 11, 1936 to William Moll and Helen Wieder.  She attended Emmaus High School.  Shirlene was employed at Rodale Press as a Correspondent Coordinator for 16 years.  She also was employed at Lehigh Valley Hardwood Flooring as a Secretary for 16 years.  Shirlene enjoyed being active with groups like The Golden Rodaliens, and Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church’s Ladies Aide Society.  She volunteered at Civic Little Theater and was an auxiliary member with LVHN Muhlenburg Campus.  She enjoyed going out to dinner with friends, playing BINGO, bowling, doing needlework projects, and made beautiful prayer blankets for the church.

Shirlene was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald August Kodash.  They shared a beautiful life together.  She was also predeceased by her sisters, Betty Reiss and Reda Kocis.

She is survived by her two children, Keith (Jen), Karen Achey (Wayne).  She is also survived by three grandchildren she adored Lloyd, Jordan, & Claire Achey.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday May 21, 2025 at 11AM with a calling from 10:30AM to 11 AM all at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church.  Burial to follow in Church Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements by the Sell-Herron Funeral Home in Allentown. www.Herronfuneralhomes.com
