Stephen Polak, 85 of Allentown passed away at home surrounded by his family on June 7, 2023 due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease..  He was the husband of Jean Ann (Kotus) Polak,  they were married 59 years on June 6^th.

Stephen was born in Lansford on December 2, 1937 son of the late Stefan and Anna (Vargovich) Polak.

Stephen was a graduate of Coaldale High School, Class of 1955.  He attended trade school to become a linotype operator and began working for Schlechter Printing in 1963.  In 1988 he bought the business from the Schlechter family and continued to actively work until 2010.  Until his recent illness, Steve continued to be involved with several local businesses in producing their printing supplies.

Steve and his wife Jean and  their son Bradley travel extensively  while Brad was growing up. His passion was sports, he loved Penn State Nittany Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Stephen was a member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in Orefield.

Survivors:  His wife Jean Ann, son Bradley of Allentown, brother John of Summit Hill, along with many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by sisters Mary, Anna and a brother Joseph.

Funeral Mass:  Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 11AM at St. Josephs Parish of the Panther Valley 462 Ludlow Street Summit Hill, PA,  with a viewing from 10AM to 11AM in the Church.  Burial in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in Nesquehoning.
