Eileen Carregal, 79
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, formerly of Midland Beach.
Eileen Carregal, 79, affectionately known as ‘Mickey,” passed away on April 5, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa., surrounded by her family. She was born to the late James and Elizabeth McNamee on Aug. 12, 1939. She later attended Cathedral High School in Manhattan.
Eileen married Henry J. Carregal Jr. in 1959. In 1968, she moved to Midland Beach, Staten Island, where she raised her children and resided for over 30 years. In 1999, she moved to Bethlehem, Pa.
Eileen is survived by her husband, Henry, and her children, Dennis J. Carregal Sr., Elizabeth Carregal, Shawn Carregal Sr, and daughters-in-law, Diana Carregal and Laura Carregal.
She is also survived by her brother, Barney McNamee, and sister Katherine Heintz, as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, whom she adored.
Eileen loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; it was her greatest joy in life. In her spare time, she enjoyed visiting the casinos and playing the slot machines. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by all.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 13, at St. Ann’s Church in Bethlehem, Pa., at 10 a.m. Funeral arrangements are by John F. Herron Funeral Home, Bethlehem, PA.
