Paul J. Hutta
Paul John Hutta, 90, passed away on April 9, 2022 in Bethlehem, surrounded by his loving family. Paul and his beloved wife Stephanie were married for 60 years before her passing in 2017. Born in Coaldale, Paul was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Hrdlica) Hutta. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War, attended Penn State on the GI Bill, and worked at Western Electric in Allentown until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, Paul spent many happy hours fishing, hunting and building the family cabin in the Poconos. A treasured “Popsie,” devoted dad, valued friend and loving husband, Paul will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His signature humor, wonderful stories, remarkable strength, practical wisdom and unstinting generosity enriched our lives immeasurably. Paul is survived by his sister Julie Boyle; his children Karen Emily, Jane, Adrienne and Paul; spouses John Hennessy, Michael Carmody, Michael McNally and Deborah Hutta; grandchildren Arielle, Alise, Sean, Megan, Katherine, Tucker, Daniel, Talyn and Sydney; and great-grandchildren Reid and Daniel. Paul was predeceased by his cherished daughter Mary Beth and his siblings Betty Weicker, Joe Hutta and Theresa Hankey. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at a future date.
