Willard W. Diefenderfer, Sr. 89, of Bethlehem passed away on May 9, 2018 in the Regional Medical Center in Hudson, Florida. Husband of Ruth M. (Boehler) Diefenderfer, they were married 54 years on May 2^nd.

Willard was born in Bethlehem on March 11, 1929, son of the late Alfred G. and Stella J. (Haas) Diefenderfer.

He was a 1947 graduate of Liberty High School.

Proudly served in the US Army.

He was an assistant manager of A&P Supermarket, which became Superfresh before retiring in 1991.

He was a member of Christ Church-UCC of Bethlehem.

He was a 32^nd Degree Master Mason for the Bethlehem Lodge #283and a member of the Scottish Rite of Allentown.

Willard was a kind and gentle man who loved his wife and family more than words can say. He loved and missed his little puppy Zoey and had a wonderful time tending to his beautiful flower garden.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ruth, son Willard, Jr. and his fiancé Melissa Moyer of Bethlehem, daughters Susan wife of James Deitos of Macungie, Brenda wife of Joseph Acevedo of Port Richey, FL; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Willard was predeceased by, sisters Alma Seyfried, Erma Hollinger and Isabel Westwood and brothers Harvey, William, Kenneth, Walter, Charles, Sheldon and Maynard Diefenderfer.

Service: Viewing on Saturday May 19, 2018 from 10AM to 11AM followed by the Funeral Service at 11AM in the John F. Herron Funeral Home 458 Center At Market Street in Bethlehem.
