Dolly Hills
On July 29, 2019, Dolly Hills peacefully transitioned from St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown campus, to be with the Lord. She was born December 26, 1928 in Hackensack, New Jersey. She was the third of four children born to the late Clarence and Curley Smith. She was educated in the Hackensack public school system. She was married to the late Alfred Hills Sr. until his passing in 1984.
She was employed as a school crossing guard for the Hackensack Board of Education and then went on to Reed-Lanes Pharmaceutical Company where she remained until she retired in 1985. She enjoyed football and baseball, but didn’t have any particular favorite team. She enjoyed reading and watching “ME TV”.
Dolly was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Sr., son Alfred Jr., brothers Harold and Charles, and sister Virginia.
Dolly leaves to cherish her fond memories her sons Clarence, and Richard (Marlease), Allentown, PA, and her daughter Toby (Theodore) of Ewing, NJ, grandchildren: Brandon of Willingboro, NJ, Sean, Pamela, and Jocelyn, all of Allentown, PA, Charlena of Miami, FL, as well as great-grandchildren and a host of nieces.
