Doris Mae Gearhart, 98 of Bethlehem passed  away at Moravian Village of Bethlehem.. She was the wife of William E. Gearhart for 66 years until his passing on May 15, 2013.

Doris was born in Bethlehem on November 29, 1924 daughter of the late Elton G. and Pearl (Roth) Geissinger.

She served in WAVES during World War II.

Doris was a Secretary at the Hotel Bethlehem in the 1940’s and later at Fisher and Porter in Warminster from 1950 to 1967.

She was a member of Zion’s Stone  UCC in Northampton.  She was a life member of the DAV Disabled American Veterans and member of the WAVES Unit #120 in Bethlehem.

Survivors:  Nieces Donna Geschke, Judy Mills, Janice Edwing, Mary Jane Lindholm and a nephew LeMar Gearhart and their families.  Predeceased  by a sister Jean Achey, brother Gerald Geissinger and nephew Terry Gearhart.

Service:  Saturday November 18, 2023 viewing 9:30AM to 10AM followed by the Funeral Service at 10AM in the Herron Funeral Home 458 Center Street Bethlehem, PA  18018.  Burial in Gilberts Cemetery in Chestnut Twp, PA.

Contributions:  Good Samaritan Fund at Moravian Village of Bethlehem or to the Disabled American Veterans both in care of the Funeral Home.
