Earl W.D. Hontz, Jr., 95 of Allentown died on November 1, 2017 at Whitehall Manor.

Husband of the late Evelyn R. (Seip) Hontz for 59 years until her death on July 7, 2005.

Earl was born in Allentown on October 7, 1922 son of the late Earl W.D. and Ida (Whitehouse) Hontz, Sr.

He served in the US Army during World War II receiving a Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal and European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Stars.

Earl was a 50 year member of the American Legion.

Survivors: A daughter, 2 grandchildren and a grandson; brother Richard J. Hontz and wife Gladys of Emmaus; sister Gloria Chimarys and husband Raymond of Allentown. Predeceased by a brother Donald and sister Lorraine Troxell and Constance Kroboth.

Service: Funeral Servie on Tuesday November 7, 2017 at 10:30 AM, with a viewing from 9:30AM to 10:30 AM in the Sell Herron Funeral Home 1145 Lehigh Street Allentown. Burial with Military Honors, Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Allentown.
