Virginia J. Compos
Virginia J. Compos, 92 of Bethlehem died on December 11, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. Wife of the late Constantine Compos for 50 years, until his death in 1996.
Virginia was born in Bethlehem on November 3, 1926, daughter of the late James and Athena Chiadis.
Virginia was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Bethlehem. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, was a member of the Ladies Philoptochos and Senior Citizens. She enjoyed playing bridge, lunches with her High School classmates, volunteered at Spring Garden School to help the handicapped students with their artwork and was artistic, especially oil painting and watercolors in her later years.
For many years Virginia helped her husband Constantine at The Minsi Trail Inn, Bethlehem.
Virginia loved Jesus, was a member of several prayer groups and read her Bible daily.
Survivors: Son Stephen C. Compos of Bethlehem, daughters Teresa A. Falk wife of Rev. John Falk of Yorktown, VA and Jamie J. Covino wife of Anthony P. of Bethlehem; six grandchildren Stephen (Noelle) Compos, Joshua (Rachel) Compos, Michael Kroeger, Andrew Kroeger, Jonathan Falk and Adam Covino; four great-grandchildren Emma, Constance, Stephen IV and Faith. Predeceased by her daughter in law Linda M. Compos, brother Michael Chiadis and sisters Affie Mihalakis, Kallie Skidas and Pauline Cooper.
Service: Viewing on Friday December 14, 2018 from 11:30AM to 12:30PM followed by the Funeral Service at 12:30PM in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral 1607 W. Union Blvd. Bethlehem. Burial in Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown.
Funeral arrangements are by the John F. Herron Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
