Walter P. Wayda, 95 of Bethlehem died on October 20, 2018.  Husband of the late Clara E. (DePue) Wayda for 62 years, until her death on June 14, 2013.

Walter was born in Fairfield, CT on September 15, 1923 son of the late Peter and Mary (Bilas) Wayda.

Walter was a Corporal in the US Army Air Forces serving in World War II.

Walter graduated from Boston University College of Industrial Technology with a degree in Aircraft and Engine Maintenance.

He was a member of the Vintage Aircraft Association.

He was an aircraft mechanic for United Airlines and retired from the Aviation Division of the Bethlehem Steel Company after 25 years.

Survivors: Sons Peter G. Wayda and fiancé Christine Hein and and David S. Wayda, husband of Mary; 2 grandchildren Peter G., Jr. and Kasey Lynn; 3 great grandchildren Morgan, Maxson and Marlee; sister Antoinette Rudy.

Service:  Funeral Service on Thursday October 25, 2018 at 11 AM, with a viewing from 10AM-11AM in the John F. Herron Funeral Home 458 Center At Market Street Bethlehem.  Burial in Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
