Dr. Amy Elizabeth Kelleman
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Amy Elizabeth Kelleman, 50, of Bethlehem, on October 8th 2022. Amy passed peacefully surrounded by the comfort of her son and close family.
Amy was born in Bethlehem on June 14, 1972 daughter of Joseph and Judith (Palenchar) Kelleman.
Amy graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School, and she proceeded to pursue post-secondary education at Northampton Area Community College and Moravian College. Amy later earned her doctoral degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, electing to pursue a career as a physician in service to the community in which she was raised.
She completed her residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem. Amy then worked for Lehigh Valley Hospital as an Emergency Medicine Physician for many years. Throughout her career, Amy demonstrated the qualities of an outstanding physician. She put forth nothing but the utmost care and compassion for her patients, and she greatly valued making a difference in the Lehigh Valley community. As a physician, Amy had a love for learning and knowledge – a value she deeply instilled in her son Jacob, a current senior at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Outside of her professional life, Amy enjoyed baking, calligraphy, and music.
Amy’s exemplary life contained many triumphs and struggles. May her passion and courage inspire us all to love deeply, serve others, and live fully.
